California Senate, Congressional, and Assembly Districts This directory contains data regarding the current California Senate and Congressional districts, in ESRI Shapefile format. These shapefiles have been reprojected to the Teale Albers, NAD 1983 projection. The California State Congressional data was downloaded from "California State Congressional data":http://www.sen.ca.gov/ftp/SEN/cngplan/GEOGRAPHY/CNG_LAW_SHP.ZIP. The California State Assembly data was downloaded from "California State Assembly data":http://www.assembly.ca.gov/acs/committee/c7/asmfinal/asmfinal_shp.zip . * *senate_districts -* contains the senate district regions * *congressional_districts -* contains the congressional district regions * *assembly_districts -* contains the assembly district regions The current boundaries for California's Assembly, Senate, Congressional, and State Board of Equalization districts were enacted on September 13, 2001, and was signed into law on September 26, 2001 by the Governor.
